About Cambridge Academic Tuition

Juliet Rolls, PGCE Cantab, MCCT

Juliet Rolls is the Founder of Cambridge Academic Tuition and a University of Cambridge-qualified teacher with more than 20 years’ experience in education.

She completed her PGCE at the University of Cambridge, holds a First Class Honours degree and is also a qualified lawyer. Before establishing Cambridge Academic Tuition, Juliet taught at Queen’s College Preparatory School in London.

Juliet specialises in selective school entrance, English, Verbal Reasoning, academic assessment, interview preparation and educational consultancy. She has extensive experience supporting children preparing for 4+, 7+, 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry, including the ISEB Common Pre-Test and school-specific entrance examinations.

She has been trained by Eton College to deliver online courses and works with families applying to many of the UK’s leading independent and boarding schools.

In 2026, Juliet was selected as a judge for the National Tutoring Awards and was also shortlisted as a finalist for the Primary Tutor Award.

Juliet personally oversees families working with Cambridge Academic Tuition and works alongside experienced UK-qualified teachers and carefully selected subject specialists.

She is a member of The Tutors’ Association, the Chartered College of Teaching and the Boarding Schools’ Association.

Cambridge Academic Tuition provides individual, one-to-one online tuition rather than a standard programme.

Every student is considered individually, taking into account their current school, academic level, target schools or examinations, timescale and particular strengths and areas for development.

Where appropriate, we recommend an academic assessment before tuition begins so that preparation is based on clear evidence rather than simply completing practice papers.

Students are matched with experienced teachers and subject specialists according to their requirements. Juliet personally oversees the academic direction of families working with Cambridge Academic Tuition.

For selective school candidates, tuition can be coordinated with admissions advice, assessments and interview preparation so that each part of the process supports the same overall strategy.

Cambridge Academic Tuition has supported students receiving offers, scholarships and places at leading UK independent schools, including Eton College, Harrow School, Winchester College, St Paul’s School, St Paul’s Girls’ School, Westminster School, King’s College School Wimbledon, Hampton School, Wellington College, Wycombe Abbey and Brighton College.
